LINDON, UTAH — Powdered peanut butter maker PBfit is expanding its reach in the nut butter product segment with the debut of two new spreads: PBfit Protein Peanut Butter and Almond Butter Spread.

The Protein Peanut Butter provides 10 grams of protein per two-tablespoon serving, which is 42% more protein than its traditional counterpart, the company said. The spread is made with just five ingredients: roasted peanuts, pea protein, peanut oil, coconut palm sugar and sea salt. Each serving contains 180 calories and 3 grams of sugar.

PBfit Almond Butter Spread provides 9 grams of protein and contains 15 grams of fat per two-tablespoon serving, which is 28% more protein and 16% less fat than traditional almond butter, according to the company. The spread contains 180 calories and 3 grams of sugar per serving and is made with roasted almonds, pea protein, almond oil, coconut palm sugar and sea salt.

“Better peanut butter can mean lots of things: lower fat, natural ingredients, free from hydrogenated oils and palm oil, higher protein,” said Stephen Richard, founder of PBfit parent company BetterBody Foods. “These spreads are another way we’re giving our customers options to make peanut butter and almond butter better.”

PBfit Protein Peanut Butter and Almond Butter Spread are available on Amazon for approximately $13.50 per 16-oz jar.
