PURDY, MO. — INS Farms and NutriScience Innovations LLC launched Eldermune (Elderberry + Sunfiber) in two grades: certified organic and conventional. The ingredient was developed by INS Farms and will be marketed and supplied exclusively by Trumbell, Conn.-based NutriScience.

Eldermune is suited for use in dietary supplements and a range of beverages, the companies said. The ingredient is created with a low-temperature drying process that helps maintain higher levels of key antioxidants. It is made with Sunfiber, a prebiotic dietary fiber, instead of maltodextrin, to enhance digestion of elderberry’s immune-supporting phytonutrients.

“It hits all the right consumer notes, as the ingredient is non-GMO, vegan, gluten-free, kosher, and is available as organic certified,” said Devon Bennett, chief executive officer of INS Farms.
