LA PORTE, IND. — American Licorice Co. is introducing new Red Vines and Sour Punch products inspired by consumer requests. The products will debut online and on retail shelves this fall.
The company is reintroducing Red Vines SuperStrings, which are pull-apart red licorice twists most recently only found in the Red Vines California Collection. American Licorice said it received comments on social media from consumers clamoring for the candy’s comeback. Red Vines SuperStrings will be available in a snack-size 14-oz package with a resealable bag for a suggested retail price of $2.69 to $3.49.
Sour Punch Sweet Bites, the brand’s only sweet, non-sour candy, features an assortment of top requested flavors, including berry, passion punch, grape and cotton candy. The new Sour Punch Fan Favorites Bites collection includes four top-requested flavors: grape, tangerine, fruit punch and lemon. Both products will be available in a 9-oz stand-up bag for a suggested retail price of $2.99 to $3.49 and in a 5-oz hanging bag for a suggested retail price of $1.39 to $1.69.
Sour Punch Sip-N-Chew Straws are sweet and sour edible drinking straws in blue raspberry and cherry flavors. A pack of 30 straws has a suggested retail price of 89¢ to $1.
Additionally, Sour Punch is adding a grape flavor to its licorice lineup, based on the most requested flavor on social media by the brand’s consumers, according to the company. Sour Punch Grape Straws are available in a 4.5-oz tray with a suggested retail price of $1.29 to $1.79 and a 2-oz tray for 99¢ to $1.39.
