KANSAS CITY — Once bound to bagels, everything seasoning is now adding complexity and crunch to foods ranging from beans and butters to snacks and seafood.

The blend, which traditionally combines sesame seeds, garlic, onion, salt and poppy seeds, has been particularly prominent in new clean label cracker launches.

Target Corp. in September expanded its Good & Gather grocery brand with 600 new items, including bite-size everything crackers. The snacks feature caraway seeds, garlic, onion, poppy seeds and sesame seeds and contain no artificial flavors, synthetic colors, artificial sweeteners or high-fructose corn syrup.

In July, Fat Snax expanded its portfolio of keto-friendly snacks with the launch of almond flour crackers made with almond and coconut flour, egg white, butter, cream cheese and flaxseeds. The everything seasoning variety includes garlic, onion, sesame seeds, poppy seeds and rosemary.

The USDA certified organic, high-fiber crackers are made with ingredients free from additives and grown without any GMOs or chemicals.
