EDISON, N.J. — Gum acacia from ISC Gums may be used to coat, thicken and improve mouthfeel in confectionery applications such as gummies and chocolate candies.

The ingredient also offers stable beverage emulsion and may provide a smooth consistency in protein shakes, the company said.

ISC Gums’ spray dried gum acacia is more than 90% soluble dietary fiber and supports health benefits in applications ranging from cereal bars and baked foods to dairy products. It is available in organic, non-GMO, kosher and Halal certified formats.
