KANSAS CITY — New menu items are getting a seasonal spin, from pasta and pancakes to coffee and cocoa.

TGI Fridays is introducing Holiday Pasta, a red and white striped cheese tortelloni with sauteed chicken and broccoli in alfredo sauce.

“The holidays will feel a little different this year, but that doesn't mean they can't be unforgettable — in a good way,” said Sara Bittorf, chief experience officer for TGI Fridays. “We want to help make it as fun and festive as possible. And who knows, people just might make some new traditions.”

Corner Bakery Cafe is debuting Bananas Foster Pancakes, featuring buttermilk pancakes, sliced banana, caramel, whipped cream and candied pecans. The new pancakes join returning holiday offerings, including Chicken Rosa Pasta, Candied Pecan Baby Bundt Cakes and White Chocolate Mint Cold Brew.

“The holidays are such a special time, and in what’s been a year filled with uncertainty, we want to make it easy for our guests to celebrate the holidays with comforting and familiar Corner Bakery flavors,” said Donna Josephson, senior vice president and chief marketing officer of Corner Bakery. “With the launch of our holiday menu items, our guests can delight in the season wherever they feel at home.”

Peet’s Coffee is serving two new holiday beverages, both topped with a “Snowcap” made with milk and vanilla: The Snowcap Peppermint Cold Brew and the Snowcap Mint Matcha Latte.

“Our new Snowcap beverages include an airy, lightly-sweetened topping that creates a unique velvety experience reminiscent of the snowy peaks of winter,” said Patrick Main, senior R&D manager for Peet's Coffee. “We are excited about the sensory experience our new Snowcap topping delivers. Combined with peppermint, a beloved holiday flavor, this beverage ultimately brings forth a truly delicious and unique flavor.”

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf has unveiled its holiday menu, featuring six seasonal beverages: The Cookie Butter Latte and Ice Blended Drink, Peppermint Mocha Latte and Ice Blended Drink, Peppermint Mocha Cold Brew Latte, Peppermint Hot Chocolate, Red Velvet Hot Cocoa and Ice Blended Drink, and the Winter Dream Tea Latte.

“Now more than ever, the world needs unity, and there is no better way to celebrate the holidays than with that sentiment,” said Christy Smith, marketing director for The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf brand. “Coffee and tea are more than just drinks; they represent moments of commonality that bring people together around the globe. We are thrilled to offer our guests the indulgent taste of the holidays and reasons to celebrate this season together.”

New from Quiznos is the Winter Turkey Feast (WTF) Sandwich, made with oven-roasted turkey, cheese, lettuce, tomato, Craisins dried cranberries and honey French dressing served on rosemary parmesan bread.

“2020 has leapt from one chaotic moment to another, but it is in these times that we most crave nostalgic flavor combinations and meaty, cheesy comfort food,” said Mike Gieseman, director of culinary and innovation for REGO Restaurant Group, owner of Quiznos. “The Winter Turkey Feast — or WTF — sandwich was a name selected for us earlier this fall by our passionate consumers in a down-to-the-wire social media poll. ‘We’re Thrilled our Favorite’ was selected as it highlights how a bit of humor and a delicious sandwich made with high-quality ingredients can go a long way to helping people recover from a WTF moment.”
