BOULDER, COLO. — RollinGreens, a maker of ancient grain millet tots and crispy cauliflower wings, launched a shelf-stable taco pack with a plant-based ground meat alternative.
The taco packs are a direct meal replacement, with one pack replacing one pound of beef, the company said. Made from a blend of 10 ingredients, including pea protein to avoid the use of soy, each pack contains 60 grams of protein.
“Up until today, our focus has primarily been on tasty frozen appetizers, but with food trends rapidly changing, convenience more important than ever, the need for more plant-based alternatives, and conscious consumption at an all-time high, our taco pack is a great solution,” said Ryan ‘Chef Ko’ Cunningham, co-founder of RollinGreens. “Inspired by authentic Mexican flavors, we have created a delicious meat-free meal that the whole family can enjoy together regardless of their dietary requirements.”
RollinGreens taco packs are available for presale on the company’s direct-to-consumer platform for $9.99 per 4.5-oz pack. They will begin shipping and launch on Thrive Market in early February.
