SECAUCUS, NJ. — The Martin Bauer Group, a manufacturer of teas and botanicals, acquired a majority interest in Power Brands, a Los Angeles-based beverage development, formulation, production and marketing service company.
The deal builds on Martin Bauer’s recent growth strategy, which includes the 2018 opening of its first liquid ingredient plant in Pennsylvania; the 2019 acquisition of BI Nutraceuticals, a supplier of botanical ingredients; and the 2020 acquisition of Core Botanica, a supplier of peppermint and spearmint leaf. It will add new innovation capabilities in plant-based foods and beverages, said Ennio Ranaboldo, chief executive of the Martin Bauer Group in North America.
