KANSAS CITY — Lemonade has long been a summer sipping staple. But the beverage has become a flavor in and of itself, lending its tart taste to donuts, snack cakes, candies, ice cream, frozen yogurt and more on grocery store shelves and restaurant menus alike.

The lemony libation also is blending with other components like hard cider, boba, sweet tea, sparkling water and other fruit juices to create new hybrid beverages.
