VANCOUVER, BC. — Low-sugar candy brand SmartSweets is launching lollipops, the brand’s first hard candy.

Sweetened with stevia, SmartSweets lollipops contain 60 calories and 1 gram of sugar per two-pop serving and are colored with fruit and vegetable juices. The treats come in bags of 12+ individually wrapped lollipops in blue raspberry and watermelon flavors. The candies are non-GMO and free from sugar alcohols, added sugars and artificial sweeteners.

“We are beyond thrilled to continue as pioneers in innovating delicious, low sugar candy through the introduction of lollipops and expansion into the hard candy space,” said Tara Bosch, founder of SmartSweets. “This candy, in particular, has been a top request from our friends in Canada and

the USA. We are excited for people to be able to enjoy our lollipops with just 1 gram of sugar and our pinky promise to be free from added sugar, sugar alcohols, and artificial sweeteners.”

SmartSweets lollipops are available on the company’s website and at Whole Foods Market stores in 3.2-oz stand-up pouches.
