KANSAS CITY — Brands are banding together to create co-branded beverages, baking products, snacks and more.

Nestle Health Science, a wholly owned subsidiary of Nestle SA, has partnered with Focus Brands to launch the Carnation Breakfast Essentials Cinnabon Bakery Inspired Flavored Nutritional Drink.

“Our mission is to give fans access to our brands in new, innovative ways,” said Dave Mikita, president of Focus Brands’ Global Channels, the company's licensing division. “We're excited to provide families with the delicious taste of a Cinnabon cinnamon roll through the convenience of a Carnation Breakfast Essentials ready-to-drink beverage that delivers both key nutrients and a flavorful breakfast experience.”

Featuring the flavor of a Cinnabon cinnamon roll, the breakfast beverage provides 10 grams of protein and 20% or more of the daily value of 21 vitamins and minerals in each 8-oz bottle.

“Carnation Breakfast Essentials believes that nutrient-rich breakfast options shouldn't mean sacrificing taste,” said Abigail Buckwalter, vice president of marketing for Nestle Health Science USA. “We're thrilled to collaborate with Cinnabon to give families a new way to enjoy the flavor of a Cinnabon cinnamon roll, while still offering all of the protein, vitamins and minerals that families love about Carnation Breakfast Essentials.”

General Mills, Inc. brought one of its breakfast cereal brands and one of its baking product brands together with new Pillsbury Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cinnamon Rolls and Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cookie Dough. The cinnamon rolls feature pre-made dough with Cinnamon Toast Crunch flavor and vanilla icing, while the cookie dough is sugar cookie dough with Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cinnadust mixed in.

The Naked Market has teamed up with Nashville-based restaurant Hattie B’s Hot Chicken to create Hattie B’s Flock Chicken Chips, a Nashville Hot style chicken chip.

“Hattie B's has built an iconic brand around the best fried chicken in America, so the ability to combine the signature flavors of this legendary establishment with our innovative product delivers a home run snack experience,” said Harrison Fugman, chief executive officer of Flock Foods. “Not to mention, it's my favorite restaurant in the country. After growing 3,300% during our first year operating Flock, we couldn’t be happier to bring our customers their most requested flavor with this best-in-class partner.”

The keto snacks contain 190 calories, 13 grams of protein and 1 gram of carbs per 1-oz bag.

“We're both crazy about Southern fried chicken,” said Brian Morris, executive chef and vice president of culinary, learning and development at Hattie B’s. “I can't believe how much flavor and punch we packed into this healthy snack, and I'm thrilled to welcome folks from around the country to the Hattie B's family — cheat day or not.”
