SALT LAKE CITY — MK1 Foods Corp., a new food company focused on nutritious and easy-to-eat foods, is hitting the market with its flagship product: sandwiches in a can.
Candwich sandwich kits contain pre-sliced whole wheat flatbread, a peanut butter packet, a grape or strawberry jelly packet and a wooden spreader. The kit also includes a wet nap for easy cleanup. Each Candwich sandwich provides 15 grams of protein, 6 grams of fiber and 430 calories.
Boasting a 12-month shelf life, Candwich sandwiches are designed to fit in soft drink vending machines.
MK1 Foods plans to roll out pizza pockets, honey barbecue chicken sandwiches, desserts and other convenient food options in the coming months, the company said.
