NEW YORK – Ice cream manufacturer Serendipity Brands has named Bob Gorman as chief executive officer. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Gorman was the chief marketing officer of RXBAR, a Kellogg Co. business unit.

Mr. Gorman has been charged with developing a short-term and long-term strategy for the company as well as expanding distribution. The company’s products may currently be found at retailers like Amazon Fresh, HEB, Harris Teeter, Publix and others. Serendipity Brands recently entered a partnership with Warner Bros. Consumer Products to introduce products inspired by television shows and movies like “Friends,” “Caddyshack,” and “A Christmas Story.”

The company is an offshoot from Serendipity3, a New York restaurant known for the creativity of its dessert menu.
