VILLENEUVE-D’ASCQ, FRANCE – The Bonduelle Group has placed its Bonduelle Americas Long Life business unit under strategic review. The business processes canned and frozen vegetables and fruits that are sold primarily by private label brands in North America.

“This review aims at assessing the contribution of this activity toward the Bonduelle Group’s ambition of sustainable growth with a positive impact, as well as its strategic fit with the priorities defined by its reference controlling shareholder and validated by its board of directors, in particular, the priority given to branded activities in its turnover, as a guarantee of both independence and sustainability,” the company said.

The Bonduelle Americas Long Life business includes six processing plants in Canada and four in the United States. The unit generated annual revenues of €600 million ($702 million) during the company’s most recent fiscal year ended June 30.
