FRANKLIN, TENN. – CKE Restaurants Holdings, Inc., the owner of the Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s restaurant brands, is changing its operating structure by combining restaurant operations and supply chain under a new chief operating officer. John Dunion, a 25-year veteran of the company, has been named COO and will lead the new initiative.

Prior to his promotion, Mr. Dunion was chief supply chain officer for CKE Restaurants. He joined the company in 1996 and has held several management roles, including vice president of purchasing and chief administrative officer.

“John knows our business inside and out, has an excellent rapport with our franchisees and will continue to elevate operational excellence throughout the CKE system,” said Ned Lyerly, chief executive officer.

CKE Restaurants also announced several other promotions, including Brian Cassidy, who will be senior vice president of Carl’s Jr. operations, and Todd Huetinck, who has been named senior vice president of supply chain management with a focus on food and packaging.
