CHICAGO — Olam Food Ingredients (OFI) launched “Blends of the Americas,” a collection of 17 spice blends inspired by the flavors of Mexico, the Caribbean and the Southwest United States.

The dry blends may be used to create consistent and authentic flavors in a range of applications, from snack coatings and cooking sauces to meat rubs, marinades and dips, according to the company. In addition to the applications, OFI developed a range of seasoned recipes using the blends in collaboration with its nuts innovation team. Examples include blanched almonds with spicy citrus coast and candied cashews with warm Sedona sunset.
