PISCATAWAY, NJ. — John McGuckin has been named chief executive officer at Clio Snacks, a maker of refrigerated yogurt bars.
He previously was chief customer officer at Lakeview Farms, a manufacturer of fresh dips and desserts. Before that he was CEO of hummus producer Tribe Mediterranean Foods and sauces company Maya Kaimal Fine Indian Foods. He also was chief sales officer at The Chia Co. and executive vice president of sales for North America at Sabra Dipping Co.
Mr. McGuckin succeeds Sergey Konchakovskiy, founder and former CEO of Clio Snacks, who will move into a new role as executive chairman, overseeing the company’s long-term growth initiative, including production expansion, product innovation and investor relations.
“It’s been both a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and dream to build Clio from scratch and lead us through the past six years,” Mr. Konchakovskiy said. “As Clio continues to grow so quickly, I’m honored to have John join us as CEO. With his unparalleled track record building some of the fastest-growing CPG brands to mainstream recognition, he has a powerful, forward-thinking vision for Clio’s future.”
Mr. McGuckin joins the company’s leadership team alongside Rachel Moore, who was promoted to chief marketing officer after holding marketing roles at the company for three years. Prior to joining Clio Snacks she was a brand manager and shopper marketing manager at E. & J. Gallo Winery, maker of Barefoot Wine & Bubbly and Andre Champagne.
Launched in 2015 with a line of refrigerated Greek yogurt bars wrapped in chocolate, Clio Snacks earlier this year expanded its lineup with low sugar options and a line of granola yogurt parfait bars.
