BETHLEHEM, PA. – Ross Born, chief executive officer of Just Born, Inc., plans to retire. The company has launched a search for a new CEO and Mr. Born said he will step down once his successor is chosen.
“This is my 44th year in the family business,” Mr. Born said. “Now it’s time for me to pass the baton to a new CEO, who along with our top-notch executive team, will take the business to new heights.”
David Yale will remain in his role as Just Born president and chief operating officer, and David Shaffer will continue to serve as chairman of the board, according to the company.
Just Born is a manufacturer of such confectionery brands as Peeps, Mike and Ike, Hot Tamales and Goldenberg’s Peanut Chews. The company was founded in 1923 by Sam Born, Ross Born’s grandfather.
