CORONA, CALIF. — Flash-frozen food company Cadence Kitchen is adding two offerings to its menu of meal solutions, including its first gluten-free dish.

The new Five Cheese Fiochetti with Beef Bolognese dish was created in response to consumer demand for more variety and creativity in home-prepared meal solutions, according to the company. It uses a playful specialty egg pasta pouch to provide an option other than ravioli or more common pasta shapes. The pasta is filled with ricotta, parmesan, gouda, fontina and romano cheeses and coated in a classic beef Bolognese sauce that is made with antibiotic-free beef, onions, garlic and tomatoes.

The new Gluten-Free Pasta with Chicken in a Cheese and BBQ Sauce dish features red lentil pasta shells, grilled chicken breast meat and green onions in a three-cheese sauce made with mozzarella, gouda, parmesan and a hint of barbecue sauce. It is the first gluten-free dish to join Cadence Kitchen’s lineup of international menu items, all of which are designed to go from flash-frozen to ready-to-eat in 15 minutes or less.

“Our goal at Cadence Kitchen is to make dining out at home better than ever with the best ingredients, inventive recipes and an innovating freezing technology that drives the industry forward,” said Alex Klein, president of Cadence Kitchen. “Knowing that consumer interest in gluten-free items has nearly quadrupled over the last decade and hearing a desire for more gluten-free options from our own customers, we committed to innovating a pasta recipe that delivers this while still offering unmatched quality when cooked from frozen.”
