HELSINKI, FINLAND — Gold&Green Foods was awarded with the SEAL (Sustainability, Environmental Achievement and Leadership) Sustainable Product Award for its pulled oats plant-based protein.

SEAL is an environmental advocacy organization that honors leadership through its business sustainability awards. Applicants were judged on several criteria, including impact metrics, uniqueness of the product and its ability to inspire sustainable change.

To create its Pulled Oats protein, Gold&Green engineered a mechanical process that combines sustainably sourced Nordic oats with fava beans and yellow peas. The resulting plant-based crumble has a meaty “pulled” texture and neutral flavor, according to the company. It is high in fiber and protein and contains all nine essential amino acids.
