BLOOMFIELD, NJ. — Artichokes are the lead ingredient in Cutting Vedge, a line of frozen plant-based meat alternatives launching from World Finer Foods.

Cutting Vedge brings a veggie-forward spin on meat-free crumbles, meatballs, burgers and Italian sliced sausage. The products are powered by artichokes from Reese, a brand of vegetables and condiments owned by World Finer Foods, and are supported by a mix of spinach, quinoa and chickpea. Free from gluten, soy and dairy, the non-GMO meat alternatives take 10 minutes or less to prepare.

Artichokes deliver a range of benefits in meat-free applications, according to World Finer Foods, which offers more than 1,000 owned and third-party food, beverage and personal care products across nearly 50 brands. They have a hearty texture, serve as a carrier for different flavors and are a good source of antioxidants and other nutrients like iron, magnesium and vitamins C and B6.

Other plant-based brands sold by World Finer Foods include Cool Beans, a line of vegan wraps, and Valsoia, a line of dairy-free frozen desserts.
