NORMANDY PARK, WASH. — Frozen food startup Rojo’s Famous has launched an equity crowdfunding campaign through Micro Ventures.

Founded in 2017, Rojo’s Famous offers frozen pancake sandwiches featuring sweet or savory fillings. Founders RJ Selfridge and John Marbett developed a proprietary oil-free pancake cooking process to produce the heat-and-eat handhelds, which are wrapped in recyclable and compostable packaging and sold in grocery chains along the along the East and West coasts. Products also are available to purchase on the brand’s website.

Rojo’s Famous generated more than $1.28 million in revenue in 2020, up 271% year over year. The company plans to enter new markets this year, including select Walmart stores, and has expanded its manufacturing capabilities to support increased demand.

“The minute we turn the switch on in our new facility, we’re confident we’re prepared to double our capacity,” Mr. Selfridge said. “This enhanced capacity is key to service our existing customer base as well as grow.”

The founders aim to raise up to $250,000 through its sale of Series B Preferred Stock and plan to use the proceeds to support marketing, research and development and the addition of a second manufacturing line. To date, the company has raised $1.1 million in equity capital from angel investors.
