PARIS — Extracts and flavors manufacturer Prova SAS acquired an industrial site sold by Boiron Laboratories, expanding its production footprint to France’s Centre-Val de Loire region.

Located in Montrichard, in Loir et Cher, about 170 miles southwest of Paris, the new site will host flavor blending capabilities for the food industry.

Prova began its international expansion two decades ago and today has distribution subsidiaries across Europe and in fast-growing regions such as North America and Asia. The company’s goal of being closer to its markets is driving an industrial investment plan that will see it spend €50 million ($55.2 million) over the next four to five years. The plan includes the modernization and expansion of an existing site at Autruy-sur-Juine, the conversion of the Montrichard site and upcoming industrial sites in North America and Thailand.
