NEW YORK — Private equity firm The Riverside Co. has acquired ESHA Research, a software company focused on nutrition analysis and regulatory compliance. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The deal will allow ESHA Research to grow its suite of software products and services aimed at supporting companies in the food and beverage manufacturing, supplement manufacturing, foodservice and related industries, said Craig Bennet, chief executive officer. The company plans to expand its customer support services and accelerate product development to deliver new features and products.
“We see numerous paths for ESHA to grow,” said Brian Sauer, senior partner at The Riverside Co. “There is considerable room to enhance the product offering, as well as leverage ESHA’s market leadership and world-class base of multinational customers to expand internationally and solve additional problems for its customers.”
