NEW YORK — Middle market private equity firm Centre Partners has re-acquired Captain D’s Seafood, a Nashville, Tenn.-based operator of more than 500 seafood-focused quick-service restaurants, from Sentinel Capital Partners. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Centre Partners previously owned Captain D’s between 2013 and 2017.

Founded in 1986, Centre Partners has more than $2.5 billion of equity capital invested in more than 80 transactions. The company’s current investments include Sabrosura Foods, a provider of branded and private label Hispanic foods, and Golding Farms Foods, a maker of private label, branded and co-packed sauces and condiments. Past investments include Bellisio Foods, Bumble Bee Foods and The Johnny Rockets Group.
