New York — Blue Apron is expanding its at-home meal kit options and bringing new recipes to its Add-ons menu.
Developed in 2021, the menu allows consumers to add appetizers, sides and desserts to their Blue Apron dinners.
“Expanding the variety of our menu options to meet the needs of families and on-the-go customers continues to be a category we are focused on, especially as summer winds down and back-to-school season approaches,” said Josh Friedman, chief product officer for Blue Apron.
New meal options will include pancetta jam grilled cheese with smoke gouda, pesto pasta with spinach and Parmesan, and cold sesame-peanut noodles with cucumber and scallions.
Blue Apron earlier this year expanded the Add-ons menu with breakfast options in March. Convenience is an emphasis for the menu, and each one is designed to be ready in less than 30 minutes.
“We continue to iterate on our offerings to create recipes that complement one another, but also fit into more non-traditional mealtimes,” Mr. Friedman said.
