NEW YORK — More than 200 exhibitors are slated to showcase new products at Plant Based World Expo North America, taking place Sept. 8-9 at the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York. Ten emerging brands will be featured in the event’s “startup zone.”

French startup Aberyne produces a plant-based take on foie gras formulated with cashews, miso, sesame puree, coconut oil and cocoa butter.

Creative Foods, based in Mexico, offers a range of sustainable ingredients, including dehydrated celery, kale, chickpea and more.

Dirt Kitchen Snacks, a brand developed by Mondelez International’s SnackFutures business unit, markets air-dried vegetable crisps and pressed bars featuring vegetables, fruits, nuts and seeds.

Fan-Tasty Foods offers a range of no-sugar-added foods, including cake mixes, hot chocolate mixes, and plant-based protein blends.

Melteeza is a brand of “melty” dairy-free cheese-flavored sauce in cheddar-style and nacho-style varieties.

Planted Eats features baked foods, including brownie bites, cookie bars and granola made with ingredients such as sunflower seeds, coconut flour and chickpea flour.

Plantega provides a solution for bodegas and independent stores in New York to sell freshly prepared plant-based foods.

Popadelics is a brand of crunchy shiitake mushrooms seasoned with bold flavors including truffle Parmesan, rosemary and salt, and Thai chili.

Purposefuel offers a range of functional snack bites made with fruits, nuts and seeds. Flavors include matcha lemon, mango turmeric and chocolate raspberry cacao.

Sweet G Garlic produces snackable black garlic, which has a texture similar to a fig or date and has a natural sweetness, according to the company. Flavors range from mesquite-smoked with sea salt to dark chocolate raspberry.

“This year’s Plant Based World Expo builds on the success of our first two shows and will showcase the enormous variety of products and innovations available to today’s discerning consumers,” said Chris Nemchek, general manager of Plant Based World Expo.
