KANSAS CITY — As colder months are on their way, foodservice restaurants are adding deluxe sandwiches to their menus.

After much fanfare, Arby’s is bringing back its Canadian-inspired poutine dip sandwich. The poutine dip sandwich features roast beef slices, topped with curly fries, cheese curds and a drizzle of gravy.

“Our loyal guests absolutely loved the limited-time sandwich,” said Craig Walker, senior director, business development, Canada at Inspire Brands, the company that owns and operates the Arby’s brand. “Our team is always on the lookout for different and fun combinations of flavors that will please our guests.”

Freddy’s also is expanding its limited-time menu offerings with a french onion steakburger. The new burger is cooked to order with two patties, topped with Swiss cheese, grilled and crispy onions, bacon and french onion sauce.

On the menu to stay at Sonic Drive-In is the steak butter bacon cheeseburger. The beef patty that has been coated in a savory steakhouse-seasoning-infused butter, topped with two slices of American cheese, bacon, grilled onions and mayonnaise, all served on a bakery bun.

“Sonic is known for our ongoing menu innovation and totally craveable cheeseburger offerings, and the new steak butter bacon cheeseburger brings all of the elevated flavor you’d expect from an upscale steakhouse to the drive-in,” said Mackenzie Gibson, vice president of culinary and menu Innovation at Sonic.
