KANSAS CITY — Seasonal holiday flavors are taking over coffee menus across the United States as pumpkin spice is replaced with peppermint.

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf welcomed its holiday menu back, along with two new options. The macadamia white chocolate latte and ice blended drink features espresso and a macadamia white chocolate syrup, while the new peppermint mocha cream cold brew combines chocolate with peppermint and a cream top.

“This holiday season may feel a bit different than the past few years, as life has returned to the normal hustle and bustle,” said Nurit Raich, senior director of product innovation, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf brand. “Our new holiday menu delivers a comforting and indulgent way for our guests to take a moment to treat and fuel themselves throughout the busy festivities of the season.”

Also bringing holiday coffees back to its menu is Dunkin’, who is taking seasonal inspiration from cookie butter. The cookie butter cold brew features Dunkin’ cold brew, which has notes of brown sugar and baked cookies, and a cookie butter cold foam. The peppermint mocha signature latte and toasted white chocolate signature latte also are making their way back onto Dunkin’ menus.

“We created our newest lineup with the holiday go-getters in mind — those that go the extra mile to make the holiday season bright for everyone else,” said Jill McVicar Nelson, chief marketing officer at Dunkin’.
