BROOKLYN, NY. — West African food brand Yolélé is launching a collection of spice rubs and dip mixes.
The products join Yolélé’s existing line of chips, pilafs and flours derived from fonio, an ancient and nutritious African grain.
New spice mixes will come in three flavors including Yassa, a blend of scotch bonnet chili, onion and thyme; Rof, a rub containing parsley, chili and scallions; and Afro-Funk made with garlic, mushrooms and dawadawa, the fermented seeds of the African locust bean tree.
Yolélé products are sold in stores nationwide, including Target and Whole Foods Market locations.
