EAU CLAIRE, WIS. — Nestle SA is investing $43 million into the Nestle Health Science facility in Eau Claire.

The project will add two production lines and increase the facility’s capacity to manufacture nutritional beverage brands, such as Boost and Carnation Breakfast Essentials, and a variety of medical nutrition formulas.

"With this investment, Nestle Health Science will expand and enhance our manufacturing facilities to better meet the needs of patients and consumers," said Gaëtan Sion, vice president of manufacturing for Nestle Health Science US.

 Both of the new production lines will package ready-to-drink products in sustainably sourced Tetra Pak cartons, keeping consistent with the facility’s emphasis on sustainability as a zero waste-to-landfill production site set to run off 100% renewable electricity by 2025. Funding from the investment will also go towards water optimization to ensure more than 90% of water used by the facility is fully recovered by 2023.

The project also is expected to create 60 jobs across packaging, processing, mechanical and engineering positions.
