WASHINGTON — Senator Debbie Stabenow of Michigan, chairwoman of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry said May 7 she would convene the committee on Tuesday, May 14, to consider marking up the 2013 farm bill. The Senate passed a farm bill last year, but the House failed to act on its bill, leaving the committees to begin the process once again this year.
