PURCHASE, NY. — PepsiCo, Inc. is expanding its pep+ sustainability initiative with Partners for Tomorrow, a new platform designed to support customers’ sustainability goals.

The program brings PepsiCo’s existing sustainability efforts under one umbrella, including CIRQU, an on-demand collection service for recyclable beverage containers that are reused in PET packaging, and the company’s North America Customer Sustainability Summit.

“PepsiCo has a long history of working together with our partners to advance shared sustainability goals,” said Todd Squarek, senior vice president and chief sustainability officer for PepsiCo Beverages North America. “The Partners for Tomorrow platform aims to scale those solutions to foster the most effective partnerships and longstanding impact. With this platform we’re leveraging the shared scale of PepsiCo’s and our customers’ businesses to maximize impact, drive progress toward our pep+ goals, and benefit both our businesses, the planet and the communities we serve.”

Also included in Partners for Tomorrow is PepsiCo’s regenerative agriculture program that provides direct investments, through loans and grants, to aid farmers in converting their farms into sustainable acreage and develop practices that prioritize soil health, erosion reduction and improvements to water quality. The company’s efforts to implement reusable cups at fountain drink and foodservice locations, and its pep+ REnew initiative, designed to increase access to renewable electricity for PepsiCo value chain partners through power purchase agreements, additionally fall under the new platform.

Partners for Tomorrow initially will focus on PepsiCo’s US customers with plans to expand into global markets by 2024.

“At PepsiCo and Frito-Lay, our retail customers are true partners, including when it comes to addressing the impacts of climate change,” said Cara Keating, chief customer officer for Frito-Lay North America. “Through the launch of the Partners for Tomorrow platform and its robust portfolio of solutions, we are taking an important step forward in how we collaborate with our customers to progress toward critical sustainability goals, meet consumer demands, and, ultimately, drive commercial value together.”
