PURCHASE, NY. — Stephen Kehoe has been named chief corporate affairs officer of PepsiCo, Inc. and chairman of the PepsiCo foundation board, effective May 1. He will succeed Roberto Azevedo, who has announced he is retiring in June.

Mr. Kehoe most recently was president and chief executive officer of Asia Pacific at communications company Edelman. Earlier, he was global chair of practices and sectors and global chair of corporate and reputation practice at Edelman. Prior to Edelman he was with Visa for more than seven years. Before Visa, Mr. Kehoe was with PepsiCo for more than six years, first as vice president of government affairs and communications in Europe and later as senior vice president of communications, government affairs and public policy for the company’s global operations.

During his tenure with the company, Mr. Azevedo built an integrated corporate affairs function and advanced the company’s pep+ agenda by driving public private partnerships in support of common goals, the company said.
