Food Entrepreneur NEW YORK  — Skin-on dried fruit processor Rind Snacks has acquired Small Batch Organics. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Small Batch Organics, a manufacturer of granola products, is Rind’s first acquisition since its founding in 2018.

The acquisition will enable Rind to take ownership of manufacturing and fulfillment in addition to expanding its product range and product development capabilities, the company said.

"Today marks the start of a fruitful new chapter in Rind's journey as a leading, better-for-you snack brand," said Matt Weiss, founder and chief executive officer of Rind Snacks. "The addition of Small Batch and its dedicated team enhances our ability to craft premium, healthy and innovative snacks for more customers in a flexible and highly scalable manner."

Small Batch’s products will be rebranded under the Rind brand with plans to release new products throughout the year.

"Rind and Small Batch share a special kinship that makes this outcome such a natural fit,” said Lindsay Martin, founder of Small Batch. “Our products and values are highly complementary, and we're thrilled to be joining forces with Rind on its mission to produce delicious and sustainable snacks for people and planet.”

Following the acquisition, Martin will oversee production and new product development for the combined business, the company said.
