EVANSTON, ILL.  — CoreFX Ingredients has acquired Wisconsin-based powder delivery systems and specialty oil distribution company Connoils LLC. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Connoil’s acquisition comes on the heels of CoreFX acquiring Ornua in March.

Connoils will operate under CoreFX’s business unit and will partner with an oil distributor to manage the bulk oils business, according to the company.

Connoil produces oil powders that may be used in food, supplements and functional beverages.

“I am thrilled to start delivering on our promise of evolving quickly and accelerating the growth of CoreFX to make the world a better place through nutrition,” said Denis Neville, chief executive officer at CoreFX. “The acquisition of Connoils is a perfect complement to our business, elevates our powder-delivery systems through our novel encapsulation technology, and is an important next step in the continued growth of our Health through Nutrition platform.”

Connoils was founded in 2007 by Stacy Peterson after the division of Cargill she was employed in closed its operations.

Cannoils said its technology uses green technology that may minimize the use of heat and airflow. The chemical-free technology transforms oils to oil powders that produce a stable microencapsulated ingredient.

CoreFX Ingredients is a supplier of dry nutritional ingredients.
