CHICAGO — Conagra Brands, Inc. is launching more than 50 new retail products this summer.

The offerings span across the single-serve and multi-serve frozen meal segments and the frozen vegetable and snacking categories.

“We have a diverse collection of new food that offers something for every taste,” said Burke Raine, president of the refrigerated and frozen unit at Conagra Brands.

The company is expanding its existing partnership with Dolly Parton with a few additions. The partnership follows the musician’s multiyear agreement with Duncan Hines and focuses on the frozen, refrigerated, grocery and snack categories.

Dolly Parton’s Homestyle Macaroni & Cheese features a cheddar cheese sauce in a frozen, 76-oz format designed for sharing at large gatherings, according to the company. For dessert, Dolly’s Decadent Chocolate Pie merges pastry crust with a chocolate fudge filling and a dusting of powdered sugar, and the Original Whipped Cheesecake combines cream cheese and buttermilk filling with a graham cracker crust. Both desserts are ready to serve after thawing and require no baking.

Conagra brand Chef Boyardee has launched into the frozen aisle with Chef Boyardee Skillets. The products are aimed at consumers seeking convenient multi-serve meal options, including options such as spaghetti and meatballs, chicken alfredo and cheese ravioli.

“For those feeding larger families, we’re modernizing and ‘premiumizing’ Chef Boyardee, and we’re moving it into the frozen category,” said Thomas M. McGough, co-chief operating officer, during a presentation at the Consumer Analyst Group of New York conference taking place in Boca Raton, Fla., Feb. 20-23. “These are unbelievably great products consumers prepare (in) just 15 minutes at about $2 per serving.”

The Banquet brand is debuting Mega frozen chicken filets to deliver restaurant-quality sandwiches at home, in original and spicy flavors. The Mega line is also expanding its single-serve meal selection with chicken bacon alfredo, spicy chicken queso burrito and meatloaf varieties.

“There's no need to take sides in the chicken sandwich wars; Banquet is delivering the taste you love from your favorite QSR sandwiches right at home,” the company said.
