KANSAS CITY — Manufacturers are using co-branding opportunities to spark product innovations.

General Mills, Inc. and National Football League players Travis and Jason Kelce have partnered to launch the Kelce Mix breakfast cereal. The cereal combines Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Lucky Charms and Reese’s Puffs. The Kelce Mix is slated to roll out to nationwide retailers in September.

The Kraft Heinz Co. has partnered with Japan-based Nintendo to create a new line of macaroni and cheese offerings. Kraft Mac & Cheese Super Mario Power-Up Shapes feature four new noodle shapes inspired by the Super Mario video game franchise. The added shapes are available in Kraft’s stovetop pasta mix and Easy Mac cup formats.

McCormick & Co. has collaborated with bagel snack manufacturer CaliBagels to debut Old Bay-flavored bagel chips. The snack features Old Bay’s blend of 18 herbs and spices, such as black pepper, paprika, celery salt and red pepper flakes, and is intended to be enjoyed alongside dips, spreads and cheese, according to the company. Old Bay bagel chips are now available on the CaliBagels website at a suggested retail price of $19.99 for a four-pack.

“Offering consumers our unique bagel chip seasoned with Old Bay made perfect sense,” said Phil Gorman, founder of CaliBagels. “Bringing the fanaticism around the iconic seafood seasoning brand to snackers around the country is incredibly exciting for our team.”
