KANSAS CITY — Manufacturers are debuting new products for the breakfast occasion.
Bimbo Bakeries USA, through its Thomas’ brand, has partnered with WK Kellogg Co to create a limited-time offering. Inspired by Froot Loops branded cereal, the LTO combines the cereal’s flavor with the Thomas’ miniature bagel format. The pre-sliced bagels are designed to offer a convenient, on-the-go breakfast option for both adults and children, according to the company. The product is now available at national retailers through Oct. 10.
“By introducing the irresistible fruity deliciousness of Froot Loops cereal into a new medium, we can provide a unique way for our fans to enjoy their favorite flavors,” said Ryan Versfeld, director of brand marketing at WK Kellogg Co.
Bob’s Red Mill is expanding its line of signature blends with new pancake and waffle mixes. The new signature blends are “an essential shortcut for easy, convenient breakfasts with scratch-quality homemade taste in every bite,” the company said, with varieties such as homestyle buttermilk pancake and waffle mix, chocolate chip and banana pancake and waffle mix, and white chocolate and strawberry pancake and waffle mix.
“Knowing shoppers are in need of convenient yet exciting options, expanding our offerings just made sense,” said Blake Isaac, director of innovation and marketing at Bob’s Red Mill. “Each mix is made with quality ingredients, and without the use of unnecessary additives, for simple just-add-water meals that rival pancakes and waffles made from scratch.”
Nespresso USA has launched Nespresso Bloom, a range of honey-based products. Nespresso Bloom’s coffee blossom honey is a raw honey with floral, caramel and vanilla flavor notes, according to the company, and its coffee blossom honey syrup is a blend of the coffee blossom honey infused with Nespresso coffee. Both products were developed in partnership with the Nestle R&D Accelerator in Lausanne, Switzerland, and will be available exclusively online beginning Aug. 21.
