LOUISVILLE, KY. —Bigelow Tea has broken ground on its 265,000-square-foot facility in Louisville, Ky. The company invested approximately $70 million into the facility, which will serve as its tea production, packaging, storage and distribution operations, according to the company.

The company said the site features office spaces and a 20-acre plot to allow for future expansions.

“There are so many people that have worked tirelessly to bring this project to life,” said Cindi Bigelow, chief executive officer and president of Bigelow Tea. “I especially want to call out John Bruins, senior director of engineering, for his commitment to talking to almost every employee over the last two years to ensure that this facility was built to include everyone’s needs.”
