Chobani adds exotic flavors

NEW BERLIN, N.Y. – Exotic new flavors are churning up across Chobani’s range of Greek yogurt product lines.

Joining the lineup of Chobani Flip, a parfait-style product packaged with toppings, are blueberry yogurt with chia and hemp seeds and walnuts, banana yogurt with honey-roasted and salted almonds and dark chocolate, peach yogurt with pistachios and dark chocolate, and pineapple-coconut yogurt with toasted coconut, hazelnut and granola.

New selections from the 100-calorie Chobani Bite line of snack-size indulgences include honey with ginger and mint with dark chocolate chips.

The Chobani Champions line of children’s Greek yogurt is expanding with dragonfruit-flavored yogurt tubes, as well as 3.5-oz cups in blueberry and strawberry flavors.

Chobani’s 6-oz cup offerings will now feature fruit-on-the-bottom products in low-fat apricot and non-fat blackberry varieties and a trio of blended low-fat yogurts in coconut, key lime and orange vanilla flavors.

“Our new products are designed to surprise and delight consumers — welcoming some to Greek yogurt for the first time through a familiar format like our blended yogurt, challenging the taste buds of others with exotic and trending ingredients like chia seeds and ginger, and servicing new occasions like snacking and mindful treats in order to help expand the category,” said John Heath, senior vice-president of innovation at Chobani. “We know that the yogurt market in America is just beginning; European consumers eat up to seven and a half times more yogurt per capita. So this launch, and every launch, for Chobani is about giving people new and exciting ways of experiencing our Greek yogurt.”

The new products will be available nationwide beginning in July.
