NEW YORK — Mezcla, a maker of plant-based protein bars formulated from pea protein crisps, quinoa, pumpkin seeds, nut butters and added flavors like pistachio and blueberry, has updated its packaging with a fresh, bold look that stays true to its roots, according to the company. The company said its updated packaging showcases its vibrant flavors and global influences.
Mezcla raised $4 million in a Series A funding round in January to grow within retailers, grow its team and scale production.
“This is the next evolution of Mezcla — one that stays loyal to the artisanal vibe that consumers love, but with a fun and bold edge that will expand our base,” said Griffin Spolansky, chief executive officer of Mezcla. “Through this change, we remain committed to the unique, delicious flavor profiles that have been the cornerstone of our brand. We’ve also continued our partnership with Peruvian artist Cesar Caycho, responsible for creating the incredible artwork on our packaging from the start.”
Mezcla also has added two new flavors in Whole Foods Market. Its flavor lineup includes peanut butter, hot chocolate, matcha, pistachio and almond butter and blueberry and is exclusively launching a new flavor in Whole Foods Market in November, Spolansky said.Enjoying this content?
