KANSAS CITY — Snack manufacturers are exploring new formats and flavors with their latest product innovations.
Mondelez International, Inc., for example, has launched Big Chewy Cookies under its Chips Ahoy! cookie brand. The cookies are larger than standard Chips Ahoy! Chewy cookies and contain chocolate chips larger than standard Chips Ahoy! chocolate chips, according to the company. The line extension comes in flavors like chocolate brownie, with a brownie-flavored base, and chocolate caramel, which contains both caramel-flavored chips and Chips Ahoy! chocolate chips.
Campbell Soup Co. subsidiary Pepperidge Farm has debuted Thin & Crispy peppermint cocoa cookies. Described as the first Thin & Crusty-style cookies in the company’s holiday cookie line, the chocolate cookies are topped with peppermint chips, according to Pepperidge Farm.
Kellanova is launching two varieties of Club Crackers: sweet Hawaiian and limited-edition cinnamon sugar minis. The former are similar to the flavor of Hawaiian bread rolls and are intended to be paired with toppings like turkey, Havarti cheese and Dijon mustard, according to the company. The cinnamon crackers have a sweet and salty flavor profile, with each bite-size cracker topped with cinnamon.
