AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS — JDE Peet’s, a JAB Holdings business unit, has named Rafael (Rafa) Oliveira as chief executive officer and stand-in executive director, effective Nov. 1. Oliveira succeeds Scott Gray, who has been interim CEO and chief financial officer since August.
Gray succeeded Luc Vandevelde, who was named interim CEO and chairman of the board in March but stepped down in August. Peter Harf, JAB managing partner and chairman, succeeded Vandevelde as interim chairman of the board.
Oliveira joins the company from The Kraft Heinz Co. where he most recently was president of the company’s international unit. Oliveira joined The Kraft Heinz Co. in July 2014 as CEO of its Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea unit.
Prior to The Kraft Heinz Co. he held several leadership positions with the Goldman Sachs Group, including executive director of the company’s securities division in the United Kingdom and the emerging markets division in Hong Kong.
