Food Entrepreneur CINCINNATI — Beeyond Snacks has entered the snack bar aisle with its Pasteli Honey and Sesame Bars formulated from Greek honey and sesame seeds. The company said its product, founded by sisters and entrepreneurs Andrea and Angelina Papanikolaou, was inspired by pasteli, a traditional Greek snack made from lightly roasted sesame seeds and honey.

The bars come in such flavors as original and peanut chocolate sea salt. The company said its original flavor was formulated to highlight pasteli by using sesame seeds and honey, while its peanut chocolate sea salt flavor is a modern version of pasteli.

“Our mission is to introduce an ancient snack that has nourished generations for centuries to a new audience here in the US,” Angelina Papanikolaou said. “Pasteli represents more than just a snack for us — it’s a piece of our heritage, and we’re thrilled to bring this story, and these flavors, to the American snack aisle.”
