GARLAND, TEXAS — Fresh pickle and fermented food manufacturer Patriot Pickle, Wayne, NJ, has opened its production facility in Garland. Patriot Pickle produces a variety of pickles such as classic kosher dill, sweet horseradish chips, half sour, full sour, hot, sweet candied, sauerkraut and pickled green tomatoes for the foodservice, distributors, restaurant chains, supermarkets and deli industries, according to the company. The company said it also offers private labeling.
The company said the facility will enable it to more than triple its production capacity.
Patriot Pickle was founded in 2004 and owns such brands as Patriot Pickle, Crisp, Regal Crown, K&Z and First Place Foods. The company was acquired by H.I.G. Capital, an alternative investment firm, in January. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
