MIERLO, THE NETHERLANDS — GNT has launched an independent investment firm called GNT Ventures that will invest in startups innovating in plant-based coloring solutions. GNT said there are four key areas it’s focusing on for color innovations: raw materials and fermentation, processing, food ingredients and upcycling.
“GNT is now firmly established as a global leader in natural colors, but we know what it’s like to be a small company and grow,” said Frederik Hoeck, managing director of GNT Group. “We started from humble beginnings and fully understand the challenges involved and how hard it can be to overcome them. We want to help startups find their own successful paths so that we can reshape tomorrow’s planet together.”
GNT Ventures will provide startups with financial support by either leading as a sole investor or sharing as co-leads. The firm also will provide companies with tools needed to bring innovations to the forefront.
The venture arm said it is focused on pre-seed to Series A funding.
Other features GNT Ventures offers startups include a pilot plant that may test and optimize processes, commercial support to bring innovations to a wider audience, connecting startups with industry partners and offering guidance on regulatory compliance and IP, according to the company.Enjoying this content?
