KANSAS CITY — Beverage manufacturers are experimenting with decaffeinated formulations, high-protein offerings and energizing products.

STōK Cold Brew, a part of the Danone North America beverage portfolio, expanded its line of ready-to-drink coffee products with STōK Decaf Cold Brew. Developed in response to millennial and Gen Z interest in health-conscious options and decaffeinated innovations, the product is brewed over the course of 10 hours and comes in a 48-oz, multi-serve format. Flavor varieties include unsweetened and “not too sweet.”

“I think we can all relate to those relentless coffee cravings that hit throughout the day,” said Brittney Polka, vice president of ready to drink beverages at Danone North America. “But what are you supposed to do when it's past your caffeine curfew? Well, worry no more.”

Dairy product maker Lala US developed Lala Gold, a set of high-protein, drinkable yogurt offerings. The beverages contain 25 grams of protein, 6 grams of fiber and no added sugars per 10-oz serving, with flavors such as raspberry key lime, blueberry, cookies and cream, vanilla and strawberry.

“Lala Gold represents our dedication to delivering meaningful, nutritious options that meet the evolving needs of health-conscious consumers,” Lala US vice president of marketing and sales Heather Foitek said.

Energy beverage company Oasis debuted its flagship line of natural caffeine beverages. The zero calorie, zero sugar drinks are formulated from green coffee beans and guayusa and offer 160 mgs of caffeine per 12-oz serving. Oasis’ beverage is currently available in raspberry and strawberry kiwi flavors, with a peach mango variety expected to launch soon.

“We’re thrilled to launch this brand as a refreshing alternative for a modern lifestyle,” said Jason Rivers, owner and co-founder of Oasis. “We wanted to give people an energy drink they could feel good about — something they could rely on for natural, lasting energy without the artificial ingredients or empty calories.”
