ATHENS, GA. — Dr. G’s Creations, a manufacturer of ingredients, flavors, marinades and coating systems for proteins, is changing its name to Dr. G’s Ingredients. The name change is the next step in the company’s evolution, according to the company.
“By refining our name and modernizing our brand, we’re making it clear to the industry that it’s a new Dr. G’s,” said Robin Galloway, chief executive officer. “While we’re still rooted in the fundamental principles of food science, we’re elevating our game. Dr. G’s Ingredients is on a mission to make protein better for our customers and ultimately for consumers.”
Alongside its name change, the company named new hires to its leadership team.
Christine Alvarado, PhD, has been named chief scientific officer. Prior to her new role, she was the director of science and innovation at Prosur Inc., a natural food ingredient company. She also has held positions at the USDA Food Safety Inspection Service and has taught at Texas Tech and Texas A&M universities.
Mike Cicatiello has been named chief growth officer. He has more than 25 years of experience at Tyson Foods with a focus on restaurant chains in the quick-service restaurant and casual dining channels. Before working at Tyson, Cicatiello held foodservice sales roles at The Campbell’s Co.
Jared Hillock has been named vice president of supply chain. Prior to joining Dr. G’s Ingredients, he was director of supply chain at Arclin. He also has experience working in operations, demand and supply planning and commercialization at the Clorox Co.
Elizabeth Sherwood has been named vice president of finance. She previously held a leadership role at Harrison Poultry, Inc.
Dr. G’s Ingredients was established in 2008 and has been majority owned by Arbor Investments since 2021.
