SAN DIEGO — After Suja Life, parent company of Suja Organic and Vive Organic, teased Slice’s revamped look and formulation following the May 2024 acquisition, Suja has finally released the updated soda brand on the market. Suja Life initially said it would release Slice in 2025 with classic flavors that feature low calories, natural ingredients and gut health-focused ingredients.

“While we know not everyone is reaching for a wellness shot, soda is a staple in nearly every American's refrigerator,” said Maria Stipp, chief executive officer of Suja Life. “By transforming this everyday beverage into a leveled-up version with benefits, we’re making a significant impact on the health and well-being of our consumers.”

Slice’s revamped formulation now features each can of soda containing 5 grams or less of sugar, no high-fructose corn syrup and is naturally sweetened with fruit juice, organic stevia and organic cane sugar. The soda also features a blend of prebiotics, probiotics and postbiotics.

The core flavors, which Suja Life said were preferred by healthy soda shoppers in a blind taste test, include orange, lemon lime, classic cola and grapefruit spritz and are available at select Costco, Albertson’s and select HEB locations.

Slice also will launch exclusive flavors including strawberry at select Target locations and grape at all Albertson’s divisions.

The company plans to expand distribution for other flavors, including classic cola and ginger ale in the second and third quarter of 2025.
